DR. MEL SENTER

Pediatrician
Mel also grew up in Memphis and made his mark early on Memphis Music. He was an aspiring classical pianist before he discovered rock music and moved to the bass. (It was – he says – the Beatles fault) In Jr. High he played with the premiere Memphis band – THE VENTURAS. He then joined the SOUL SYNDICATE and they became the house band at the old Club Rosewood on South Lauderdale.
Mel recorded with ACROBAT at the old TMI studios and moved to Atlanta to tour with the band. He’s had the pleasure to play on stage with BJ Thomas, Bob Seger, Bill Mobley and James Williams.
Mel interrupted his Rock music career to begin med school. During that time he worked in the startup Christian music world playing with Eddie DeGarmo and Dana Key of the DEGARMO KEY BAND. He left Memphis for a tour of duty with the Navy in Philadelphia but came back to Memphis as soon as his tour was over. Mel is a doctor with Pediatrics East in Germantown.
Mel is married to Cassandra and has four gorgeous daughters.
